Cloud Platform

Support for digitalization and optimization of companies

At IOThing we have developed an IoT Platform designed to connect and manage all your sensors in an intuitive and efficient way. This configurable platform allows you to centralize and analyze data in real time, transforming information from your sensors into intelligent decisions.

Cloud platforms are virtual solutions that allow companies to access and manage computer resources via the Internet, offering services such as IaaS, PaaS and SaaS. They help facilitate the business management, software development, data storage and collaboration in real time.

Currently, the tendencies in the cloud include the integration of artificial intelligence and machine learning, the use of hybrid and multicloud, and the focus on cybersecurity and regulatory compliance. In addition, the combination of the cloud with IoT devices and edge computing is improving the efficiency and speed in data processing.

Maxima adaptability, simplicity and efficiency assured .

APPLICATIONS WITH CLOUD PLATFORM

Real-time monitoring of pressure levels in gas pipelines and leak detection using the IOTHING cloud platform

Continuous pressure monitoring and rapid leak detection in gas distribution networks are critical to ensure the safety and efficiency of supply. Gas leaks not only pose a significant safety risk, but also generate economic losses and environmental problems. By integrating advanced sensors connected to our cloud platform, companies can monitor pressure, flow and other sensor levels in real time, detect leaks immediately and notify personnel to act quickly, ensuring safe and efficient operation.

CUSTOMER NEED

Monitor pressure levels in gas pipelines in real time and detect leaks using sensors connected to the IOThing cloud platform, automatically notifying operating personnel to avoid risks and economic losses.

Description of the system, product and/or project

Leak monitoring and detection process

Using IoThing or third-party sensors distributed along the gas pipelines to measure pressure, flow and possible anomalies in the system. The sensors are connected to the platform that collects and analyzes the data in real time. If the sensors detect an abnormal drop in pressure or any indication of a leak, previously defined by the user, the platform generates automatic alerts that are immediately sent to the operations staff, indicating the exact location of the problem. In addition, the system can automatically close specific valves to isolate the leak and minimize risks, if necessary.

User Interaction

Companies can access the IOThing platform from any device and anywhere to view the status of their pipelines, pressure levels, flow rates, etc. in real time and receive automatic notifications about potential leaks. The platform offers interactive maps showing critical locations, pressure levels and other sensors in each section of the pipeline and risk alerts. Users can program safety thresholds and receive automatic reports on the status of the pipelines and gas consumption.

KEY COMPONENTS AND TECHNOLOGY USED

  • Pressure and flow sensors, vibration sensors, etc. installed along gas pipelines to monitor the status of distribution networks in real time.
  • Nocode IOThing PLC gateway to transmit data from sensors to the cloud platform, if the sensors themselves do not do so.
  • Cloud platform for real-time monitoring, leak detection and automatic alert generation.
  • Anomaly detection algorithms that identify pressure drops and possible leaks, triggering alerts immediately.
  • Mobile application and web platform for remote monitoring and incident management.

RESULTS AND BENEFITS

  • Early leak detection: The platform allows gas leaks to be identified quickly thanks to pressure and flow sensors, minimising safety risks and gas losses.
  • Immediate response: Operators receive real-time notifications of any anomalies in the distribution network, allowing them to act quickly and efficiently to resolve problems before they escalate.
  • Automatic leak isolationIn the event of a significant leak, the system can automatically close valves to isolate the affected section, preventing further damage and reducing the impact on gas supply.
  • Operation optimizationContinuous monitoring of pressure and flow allows companies to optimize the use of distribution networks, ensuring efficient and safe operation.
  • Cost reductionBy detecting leaks quickly and preventing gas losses, companies can reduce operating costs and improve profitability, while minimizing legal and safety risks.

RESULTS AND BENEFITS

  • Reduced response times to gas leaks thanks to real-time detection and automatic alerts.
  • Savings in costs related to loss of gas or fluids due to undetected leaks.
  • Improve operational efficiency by optimizing monitoring of pressure and flow levels in pipelines.
  • Reduced safety risks through early leak detection and automatic valve closure in emergencies.
